  Observation. Licensing observed the licensee is not following the two step method of cleaning and sanitizing. Licensing is concerned there is a risk of the spread of germs and diseases.

  Children are provided with a comprehensive and coordinated program of indoor and outdoor activities that is designed for the development and care of the children, and is appropriate for the age and development of the children. [CCLR Sec. 44(1)(a)(b)(c) and Schedule(G)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that the outdoor activities need to be sorted and more toys and materials to be provided to accessorize the large pieces of equipment in order to offer a coordinated program.

  All persons over the age of 12 that are ordinarily present on the premises while children are present are of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for each person. [CCLR Sec 20]

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed one of the Educators CRC had expired.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. There are foam mats in the play room. The top layer on these mats has worn off and edges are worn. This makes it porous and difficult to adequately clean and sanitize.

  Observation. Licensing audited ten children's files. One child's file did not have a record of their immunization status.

  Corrective action. Ensure immunization status is obtained for children files.

  Observation. Licensing audited ten children's files. One child's file did not have written consent from parent to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident/ illness if parent cannot immediately be reached

  Corrective action. Ensure written consent is obtained from the parents to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident/ illness if parent cannot immediately be reached.
