  Observation. The program has reopened as of this month. Certificates posted are not of current staff and need to be replaced.

  The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

  Observation. Files are mostly complete, with one missing doctor's information (as they are new to BC), a few missing start date, and attendance not accurate during morning arrival.

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Hazardous objects and substances are inaccessible to children. [CCLR Sec 17]

  Observation. In the children's play space, LO observed a radiant electric space heater and scented plug in air freshener accessible to children.

  Heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius. [CCLR Sec. 47]

  Observation. LO observed that the heated water accessible to children exceeds 49 degrees Celsius.

  Criminal record checks have not been obtained. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)(a)]

  Observation. LO reviewed all staff files and observed that a valid criminal record check has not been obtained for 2 staff. Criminal record checks on file for the 2 staff are addressed to another facility and a College.
