Employees and parents are provided a written statement of the licensee's policy on behavioural guidance. [CCLR Sec.51(1)(b)]

Observation. Licensing observed, at the time of the inspection, when the educators were asked about the centre's policy on behavioural guidance the educators did not know about the centre's policy.

Staff ratios and group sizes comply with Schedule E. [CCLR Sec. 34(2)(a)]

Observation. Licensing observed when reviewing the files there were too many children enrolled into the program that were Under 36 months of age. As per the CCLR the program is only able to enroll more than two children under 36 months of age if a temporary placement exemption has been approved by Licensing.

Current policies and procedures are kept as required . [CCLR Sec.56 (1) and CCALA 19]

Observation. Licensing observed the policies and procedure required to be updated due to outdated information.

Children are provided with a comprehensive and coordinated program of indoor and outdoor activities that is designed for the development and care of the children, and is appropriate for the age and development of the children. [CCLR Sec. 44(1)(a)(b)(c) and Schedule(G)]

Observation. Licensing observed outside there were not enough coordinated program materials and equipment to supplement with the large pieces of equipment in the yard or on their own. It was also observed the sandbox did not have enough sand to be able to use it to it's potential.
