  A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

  Observation. Licensing observed the following: There are toys located on the tops of the cupboards and there were no restrictors preventing cupboards from opening if they were too full or if there was an earthquake. Licensing is concerned there is a risk of injury from items falling from the cupboards. Both the Under 36 month program and the 30 Month to School Age program were sharing the outdoor play area at the same time. Licensing is concerned there is a safety risk to the children due to the limited area provided to the children Under 36 months as well as the various ages from each group sharing the space and their level of development.

  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing observed the Fire Extinguisher servicing had expired.

  Children are provided with a comprehensive and coordinated program of indoor and outdoor activities that is designed for the development and care of the children, and is appropriate for the age and development of the children. [CCLR Sec. 44(1)(a)(b)(c) and Schedule(G)]

  Observation. Licensing observed children were not provided with a comprehensive or coordinated outdoor activities for the capacity of care and designed for the age and development of the children in care.
