  Observation. A Doctor's information was not obtained for one child's file.

  Corrective action. The Manager will obtain this information.

  A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

  Observation. In the IT program, a cabinet containing cleaning supplies was unlocked and was accessible to children.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

  Observation. Ten children's files were reviewed and one did not have a medical practitioner's info.

  Corrective action. Please ensure children's files are complete.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

  Observation. Eight staff files were reviewed and two staff files did not have a site-specific Criminal Record Check. Please use the sharing program to share current CRC.

  Corrective action. Please ensure staff files are complete as per the legislation.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 8 staff files and found that 2 were missing ECE certificate validation. One file did not have one, one file's validation was not current.

  Corrective action. Please ensure ECE certificates are validated by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry.

  A licensee must have all of the following: (b) an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. The fire extinguishers needed servicing on Oct. 21, 2020.

  Corrective action. Please ensure there is a plan to respond to and recover from any emergency.
