    Observation. One side of the fence was missing a panel. The Licensee advised that this must have occurred last night as she was not aware of this.

    Corrective action. The Licensee said that in the meantime, the backyard will not be used. Please advise on a plan for addressing the fence.

    Observation. Files for four children were reviewed. A parent contract was not available in two files.

    Corrective action. Please make sure a completed parent contract is provided to all families.

    A licensee must have all of the following: (b) an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

    Observation. The facility emergency kit does not contain enough supplies for up to 72 hours. Each child has one bottle of water and some arrowroot cookies and there are no diapers in the kit.

    Corrective action. Please make sure the emergency kit contains enough supplies for all of the children (food, water, diapers etc) for up to 72 hours. The Licensing Officer recommended that the Licensee review the local municipality emergency preparedness for ideas on what to put in the kit.

The manager was able to verbally describe steps that would be taken if the child needed the medication.
