• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing reviewed 4 staff files and 2 staff were missing record of immunization statuses.

  Corrective action. The staff provided a record during the inspection.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Upon inspection, Licensing observed several areas of exposed gyprock accessible to children. The Manager explained she is aware of this and has a maintenance plan.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within are clean and in good repair.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Upon inspection, Licensing observed the following: -Water tank accessible to children in the Group Child Care (30 months- School Age) program. The Manager said there is a lock on the outside of the cupboard to have this inaccessible. -There was an adult umbrella accessible to children in the infant and toddler outdoor play area, posing a safety hazard. This was removed during the inspection.

  Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times.

  Observation. Upon inspection, licensing observed the following: -Outdoor safety covering for one side of the metal pole for the tarp was coming apart -Plastic bin in the playground is broken
