  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

  Observation. There was no record of the attendance schedule from the last two weeks.

  Corrective action. Please ensure a system is in place to maintain the children's start and end dates.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A scooter was missing the handle.

  Corrective action. The licensee removed the scooter during the inspection.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following in an unlocked cupboard in the washroom, at child's height: -Cleaning solution -Soaps -Plastic bags

• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  A licensee must have all of the following: (a) emergency exits and a fire drill system approved by a local assistant within the meaning of the Fire Services Act.

  Observation. The fire extinguisher needed servicing on November 26, 2020.

  Corrective action. Please ensure a serviced fire extinguisher is accessible and there is an emergency plan to respond to and recover from any emergency.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During inpection licensing checked 4 children's files and 2 files were missing date of enrolment.

  Corrective action. Please ensure children's file are complete.

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Upon inspection, there were many heavy items and toys stored on top on ledges and on shelving units that pose a fall hazard.
