• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. A review of children's records found several to be incomplete missing medical insurance plan numbers, the name and telephone number of a medical practitioner the date of enrollment in the facility and written consent from a parent to call a medical practitioner or ambulance. A system to ensure children's records contain all of the legislated requirements needs to be created. Submit to Licensing the system created to come into and maintain compliance by the follow up date requested. A care plan is in place for a child who requires extra support. Evidence the plan was developed in consultation with the parent was not available for review. Care plans are to be developed for children requiring extra support in consultation with the parent and any person requested by the parent. Outline the system developed to ensure care plans have the required information by the follow up date noted.

  Observation. At the time of the inspection the Licensing Officer observed a diaper change pad in poor repair. The inner foam was exposed which does not allow for adequate cleaning and sanitizing. A Licensee must ensure that change pads are in good repair and the inner foam of the pad is not exposed. Submit to Licensing by the follow up date noted the system created to ensure the facility's equipment is in good repair.

  Observation. Evidence of responsible adults qualifications are missing from some staff records. The facility manager has been absent since December 2022 and has not been replaced.

• C1.1 - Does the licensee continually inform licensing of any significant changes to the structure or operation of the facility?Critical

  Observation. Facility Licence was not displayed. Facility manager name was not displayed.

  Observation. Some staff records missing evidence of a completed criminal record check in accordance with the definitions outlined in Child Care Licensing Regulation. The facility has not established a system to ensure all staff have this required document

A few children's records were missing the following information: - medical insurance plan numbers - physician name and phone number A number of departure times were missing from the daily attendance record. The facility has not developed a system to log inspections of the outdoor spaces they use.

  Observation. Some staff are missing criminal record checks completed by the Criminal Record Review Program.

  Observation. Radon testing has not been completed. Testing is in progress.
