The Licensing Officer observed three children's records were missing written consent to call a medical practitioner or ambulance. - C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical
Observation. At the time of this inspection there was no evidence that the employee practiced implementing the emergency plan in the last year. It is a requirement that employees practice implementing the emergency plan at least once each year to be prepared in the event of a true emergency.
- C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical
Observation. At the time of this inspection the Licensing Officer could not review the children's records which contain all identifying personal information for each child. The Licensing Officer was told by the Licensee these records were not available because they had accidentally been taken off site. The children's records contain all the personal information given to the Licensee from the parents regarding their children which would be required by the Licensee to ensure that children are kept healthy and safe while in care. This is a reoccurring contravention originally found out of compliance on January 26, 2024, where one child's file was taken off site. At the time of this inspection the Licensing Officer could not review the children's daily attendance records. The Licensing Officer was told by the Licensee these records were not available because they had accidentally been taken off site. The daily attendance is required to accurately reflect which children are in attendance. In the event of an emergency the Licensee can be confident all children are accounted for. This is a reoccurring contravention originally found out of compliance on January 26, 2024, where the daily attendance records did not contain arrival, or departure times. At the time of this inspection the Licensee had current photos of each child in place, however, there was no evidence of the required other information that could be used to readily identify a child in an emergency as required.
- C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical
Observation. The Licensing Officer observed the Licensee did not have a system in place to ensure children's perishable food was being stored at a safe holding temperature in the refrigerator. To ensure safe food storage and prevent food borne illness, the temperature of the fridge must not exceed 4°C. This was corrected during the inspection with a thermometer being placed in the refrigerator.

- C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical
