  Observation. Information received following a routine inspection on August 26, 2024, revealed the Licensee and one other individual who is normally present at the facility have expired criminal record checks. Any person who is ordinarily present in a facility must have a valid criminal record check under the Criminal Records Review Act. Submission of valid criminal record checks is required by the Licensee to come into compliance.

  Observation. A review of the daily attendance record indicated several departure times missing. The Licensee must submit a plan indicating how the daily attendance records moving forward will accurately reflect children's departure times.

  Observation. The fire drill system was not displayed.

  Observation. A child requiring extra support needs a care plan developed.

  Observation. A review of the daily attendance indicated a day the facility was unexpectedly closed. This would be a reportable incident under schedule H as a service delivery problem and was not reported to Licensing. A review of the children's files indicates enrollment and withdrawal dates are missing. A review of the children's files indicates other distinguishing features to readily identify a child were missing.

• C6.1 - Are acceptable hygiene practices maintained?Non-critical

  Observation. The Licensee has a system in place for hand hygiene, however the cloths for drying hands are hanging on the wall and touching each other. The licensee corrected this during the inspection by removing the cloths and replacing with single use cloths.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. Sharp knives are stored in a kitchen drawer that is accessible to children.

  Observation. The Licensee's first aid certificate has expired.

  Observation. The Licensee provides all food. Parents are not given information of the food and drinks given to children each day.
