  Observation. Barbecue equipment in the outdoor play area had a propane tank exposed in a child-accessible area. A discussion took place with the Licensee about relocating the propane tank to make it inaccessible to children.

  All indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are suitable for the age and development of the children, safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)]

  Observation. The collection of outdoor items available to children was minimal and outdated. The indoor items / toys / materials available to children was limited and did not appear to meet the needs of developing the whole child.

  Children are provided with a comprehensive and coordinated program of indoor and outdoor activities that is designed for the development and care of the children, and is appropriate for the age and development of the children. [CCLR Sec. 44(1)(a)(b)(c) and Schedule(G)]

  Observation. The outdoor space had very few items / toys / equipment for children. there did not appear to be a shed or storage containing more items.

  There is current log of minor incidents, illnesses and unexpected events, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H. [CCLR Sec. 56(1)(f)]

  Observation. Please ensure that there is a minor log book maintained for daily incidents, etc. The licensee does document photos in her phone but a written log book must be maintained.
