  Observation. There are several carpets that have curling edges. There are two pieces of furniture with tears and worn edges that making cleaning and sanitizing difficult.

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. The gate to the outdoor play area continues to be deficient. The Manager has explained that repairs have been attempted however the gate does not function correctly and the self-closing feature does not work. This creates a safety hazard and must be given a high priority. This issue of standing water and drainage problems is addressed in another area of this report. This has also been an ongoing health and safety issue that needs to be addressed.

  Observation. This item has been on-going and noted in prior inspections. The Manager has requested additional time to resolve this issue. The date is extended in order to allow for better weather conditions to assess and make improvements.

  Observation. There are several areas where standing water was observed in the outdoor play area, creating a potential hazard for the children. In some areas (such as the mud kitchen) the water was a few inches deep. The gate into the playground has a self-closing feature that does not work correctly, causing the gate to bounce off the latch, rather than closing completely.

  Observation. At a prior inspection, Licensing noted that the licensee was to address the issue of drainage. This continues to be an area of concern.

  Observation. In a review of children's records, licensing observed that several children do not have start dates noted on their registration forms
