    Observation. Licensing observed several physical incidents, as well as additional behaviours and situations that could lead to injury, during both indoor and outdoor play during today’s visit.

    There is current log of minor incidents, illnesses and unexpected events, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H. [CCLR Sec. 56(1)(f)]

    Observation. Licensing observed the minor incident log and noted consistent documentation entries in the past, with the most recent entry dated September 2025. Licensing discussed with staff the importance of continuing to record any observed incidents in the minor incident log, as several incidents during today’s visit needs to be documented.

    Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

    Observation. Licensing was unable to observe any records for the current staff member who was observed working with children during today’s visit.

    Maintenance of Equipment: A log is kept of all inspections, maintenance and repairs. [Director of Licensing Standard of Practice - Safe Play Space]

    Observation. LO noted that records for the outdoor play space inspections were not recorded for some days. Records are not maintained accurately. LO reviewed with the manager the dates and it was confirmed that the facility operated and some of those days that had no written records for inspections.

    Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

    Observation. LO noted no fire drills were recorded for the months of October and November 2024. The new manager was not aware if the fire drills were practiced as was not in ratio at that time. Ensure fire drills are practiced monthly and a written record maintained. The emergency plan must be practiced by the end of June 2025.No record was available to indicate that the emergency plan was practiced since the facility was licensed.
