  Observation. Licensing was unable to observe any attendance records for the week indicating children being signed in and signed out.

  Daily inspections of the play space for garbage, broken glass, animal feces and other hazardous items have not been done.

  Observation. Licensing was unable to observed current records of daily outdoor inspections. A conversation was had with the staff in regards to documenting the outdoor safety check on the attendance records.

  Emergency exits and fire drill system are approved by a local Fire Marshal. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that the fire extinguisher expired on January 29, 2025. This had been noted in a previous report.

  Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that the most recent emergency drill was recorded on February 21, 2025. The last fire drill was recorded on October 20, 2025. It was noted that a drill for the month of November has not been documented.

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. A large openings observed at the outdoor playground fence. This poses a potential safety hazard.

  Observation. Fire drills were practiced and recorded each month, however one emergency drill was not yet practiced and recorded at least once a year.

  Observation. No thermometer was present in the fridge. Unsecure heavy items / bins stored on shelves accessible to children Bi-fold doors in nap room present pinching hazard. Cleaning solution bottle not labelled nor easily accessible for frequent use. Potty seat on the floor.

  Observation. One child was in attendance without any registration or records. Several children were missing alternate pick up persons. One child was missing a photo. Daily attendance was not evident at the time of the inspection.

  Observation. There was a log present but dates were not accurately reflected to communicate daily inspections were being conducted.

  Behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of each child. [CCLR Sec.51(1)(a)]

  Observation. During LO's visit, it was observed that on a couple of occasions young children were arguing over possession of toys / items. The Licencee told them to share. LO explained that sharing is a skill that children this age are learning and it is not realistic to expect children to be able to share. Licencee also told LO that she counts to 10 when a child wants a toy from another child.

  Children are supervised at all times by a person who is an educator, an assistant or a responsible adult. [CCLR Sec. 39(1)]

  Observation. Licensing observed a child sitting in a high chair in the kitchen area on their own.

  The diaper change area is not adjacent to a hand wash basin. [CCLR Sec. 14(4)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that diapers are being changed on the carpet area in the nap room. This has been previously noted and Licencee has been instructed to change diapers in the bathroom next to a sink.
