The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

Observation. There is a stump on a slope above a hard surface ( solid rock path). Children have access to and can climb on this stump. Should a child jump or fall from this stump there is potential for injury on the hard surface below. This slope as it is, stump or not, is an area of concern as the bottom of the short steep slope is a hard surface. Today the ground surface was dry and not overly slippery, however, during other wetter days this area could prove to be quite slippery. There is a large sand box that was not covered when not in use.
