A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

Observation. - Peeling paint on wall accessible to children in one nap room - Exposed drywall on bottom baseboard area in various classrooms

Corrective action. Ensure that the facility is in good repair.

A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

Observation. Licensing observed that in one bathroom located in a classroom, there was a basket on the floor with diaper creams. This item is a repeat contravention on routine inspection report #MZIN-DB6Q3T on 19-Nov-2024.

Corrective action. Ensure that diaper creams are placed in a spot where it is not accessible to children.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): In one classroom, a child was not signed in upon arrival.

Corrective action. If parents forget to sign their child in the attendance sheet, it is the staff's responsiblity to do so.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed that in three classrooms, the lower cabinets had cleaning products and creams inside, which were accessible to children.

Corrective action. Ensure that these cabinets are locked at all times.
