- STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation) Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Review of 7 staff files noted one missing an ECE validation.
Corrective action. The validation was printed on site and added to the file.

Observation. Licensing observed that the Manager's name was not posted. Manager posted her name while Licensing was on site.
Corrective action. Please ensure that the name of the Manager is posted.
10050 - CCLR s.11(1) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.
Observation. A review of 9 children's files found 1 missing the date of enrolment. The Manager corrected it while Licensing was on site.
Corrective action. Please ensure that the date of enrolment is recorded for each child.
19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. A review of 9 children's files found 1 missing the name and number of a medical practitioner.
Corrective action. Please ensure that the name and number of a medical practitioner is recorded for each child.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (c) a record of the person's work history.
Observation. A review of 5 staff files found 1 missing the person's work history. Manager was able to obtain it from the digital records While Licensing was on site.
Corrective action. Please ensure a record of a person's work history is obtained.
