  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Licensing observed: - a lighter accessible to children on the counter, - items stored on the stairs that may cause a tripping hazard -essential oils were on a chair and were moved during the inspection

  Corrective action. The Licensee will take action to ensure a healthy and safe environment.

  A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

  Observation. The Licensee said she completed the drills but did not keep the written record.

  Corrective action. The Licensee said that she will keep a written record of all drills.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must notify the medical health officer within 24 hours after (a) a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H while under the care or supervision of the licensee.

  Observation. Licensee described an incident of fall that occurred about 2 months ago. A child was taken to the hospital for medical attention. Licensee has the documentation of this incident. The incident meets the definition of Reportable incident, however, it was not reported to Licensing.

  Corrective action. Please enure to notify Licensing within 24 hours after a child is involved in a reportable incident while under the care of the licensee.
