• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. The immunization status for one employee is not available for review. Ensure that all required employee records are collected prior to any individual commencing work with children. Submit written confirmation by June 30, 2026, that the outstanding immunization record has been obtained and added to the employee’s file.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. A diaper mat is torn. The diaper mat must be kept in good repair and easy to clean. Submit written confirmation by June 30, 2026, that the diaper mat is in good repair. Medication is stored in a child’s backpack and is accessible to children. Ensure all medications are stored securely and are inaccessible to children. Submit written confirmation by June 30, 2026, that medication is no longer accessible to children, unless identified in a care plan.

• C6.1 - Are acceptable hygiene practices maintained?Non-critical

  Observation. Soiled diapers are placed in a washroom bin without a lid in the children’s washroom. Soiled diapers must be disposed of in a covered container. Submit written confirmation by June 30, 2026, that soiled diapers are now being placed in a covered container.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Some children’s records are missing required information, including immunization status, start date, and the name and contact details of a medical practitioner. Complete and current records are required for each child. Submit written confirmation by June 30, 2026, that all children's records have the required information.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. C7.1H - The secondary emergency exit upstairs had excess recycling materials stored outside the door that could delay an exit in the case of fire or other emergency. The main entrance was free and clear.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. C4.1E - Some children's records were incomplete and missing evidence of immunization and the name and telephone number of emergency contacts. C4.1H - Some attendance records were missing the time of arrival and departure. C4.1J - Some children's records were missing a current photo that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency. C4.1O - Employee records are being stored off site and were not available at the facility. C4.1T - The outdoor play area was well maintained and no hazards were found, however the Licensee does not have a system in place for logging daily, monthly and annual outdoor play space inspections, maintenance and repairs.

  Observation. C3.1V - Employee records were not available at the time of inspection, therefore Licensing was unable to verify that employees meet character and skill requirements under section 19 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation.

  Observation. One child did not have any information regarding a doctor or medical practitioner on file. Please update this and if the family does not have a doctor, then please ask them for what medical clinic they normally use. One child did not have a care card number listed in their file. Please update this file.

  Observation. ECE and ECEA certificates for all applicable staff have not been verified through the BC ECE Registry. The licensing officer can provide a link to this , if necessary. One staff person did not have an immunization status on file. Please update this file.
