March 5, 2026Routine Inspection3 non-critical
  • C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

Observation. - The evacuation kit contains inadequate non-perishable food. Having an adequate amount of supplies readily available will help to minimize the emotional and physical impact on the children in care during any emergency. *Correct by: March 12, 2026.* Fire drills are practiced and recorded monthly. The fire drill record is displayed as required. The annual practice drill for the large scale evacuation plan is up to date. There have been no updates or revisions to the required polices and procedures since the last routine inspection. These policies and procedures are accepted by Licensing.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

Observation. - Some required information in the children's registration/emergency records, such as doctor/clinic contact information and an emergency contact, who is also authorized to pick up the child, is missing. The required child registration information must be complete, up to date, and immediately accessible to the licensee in the event of an emergency and/or evacuation from the facility. *Correct by: March 7, 2026.* - Some of the children's emergency records are missing a photo of the child. Having a current photo will assist the Licensee and emergency responders to readily identify each child in an emergency. *Correct by: March 7, 2026.* - The log for outdoor play space inspections is not completed daily. Detailed records of daily play space inspections help track and ensure the timely repair and removal of potential hazards before they cause injuries. *Correct by: March 7, 2026.*

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

Observation. - The fridge temperature measures at 11°C. To prevent potential food borne illness, the temperature of the fridge must not exceed 4°C. *Correct by: March 6, 2026.* - The fire extinguishers have not been inspected by a fire safety expert in the past 12 months. Inspecting the fire safety equipment annually provides assurance that the extinguishers are in good working order in the event of a fire. *Correct by: March 12, 2026.* - A trampoline is accessible to the children in care in the outdoor play space. In order to use this atypical equipment, a written safety plan that has been reviewed and accepted by Licensing, as well as permission from each child's parent, is needed. *Correct by: March 12, 2026.*
