  Observation. The facility license was not displayed at time of inspection. The facility license must be displayed in a community care facility. Submit to licensing by December 11, 2025, evidence that the facility license is displayed within the facility. The managers name was not displayed in a prominent place in the facility. The managers name must be displayed in a prominent place to identify the person in charge. Submit to licensing by December 11, 2025, evidence the manager's name has been displayed in a prominent place in the facility.

• C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

  Observation. There was some expired food items in an emergency evacuation bag. Up to date emergency evacuation equipment is essential to ensure the health and safety of children in an emergency. Submit to licensing by December 11, 2025, evidence that the food items have been replenished.

  Observation. One child file did not contain the name and phone number of a medical practitioner. Incomplete child files may increase risk to children in an emergency. Submit to licensing by December 11, 2025, evidence of having collected the missing information.

  Observation. There was no method of ensuring food safe temperatures are being maintained in one of the facilities refrigerators. A method for ensuring food is being stored at the required food safe temperatures is required to ensure the health and safety of children's food. Submit to licensing by December 11, 2025, evidence of the system that will be in place to ensure the facility refrigerator is maintaining food safe temperature.

  Observation. One of the outdoor play spaces has been changed and a new fixed climber added, Licensing was not notified.

  Observation. The diaper mats are not being cleaned prior to being sanitized.

  Observation. One child was missing a digital image that could be used to identify them in an emergency.

  Observation. Children regularly attend outdoor play areas or activities located off the premises. As discussed, submit notification to Licensing Direct according to the requirements set out in Schedule B 6(c) and 7.

  Observation. - Special instructions are missing for a temporary medication that is recorded to be administered "as needed". - A child record is missing special instructions for an alternative to using a facility toilet.

  Observation. - Emergency plan is not current according to Section 22(1)(b). - Active play policy does not include staff demonstrating appropriate modelling and has limited information to guide employees in the care of children. - Screen time policy has not been shared with parents.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. - One indoor rebounder/trampoline is in use. Information will be provided with this report so the licensee can submit a safety plan or trampoline plan. - The large outdoor climbing structure in the pea gravel play space has peeling paint that exposes the wood and has the potential for wood and paint splinters. - Two area carpets at the back/second entrance have curled corners and edges that pose a fall hazard. - A space heater vent on the floor of one room tested more than 74 degrees Celsius which could cause a significant burn. When this was brought to the manager's attention, it was removed from children's access during this inspection- CDI.
