• C10.2 - Are children supervised, and are employee to children ratios maintained?Critical

  Observation. On several occasions there were more than eight children signed into care for 15-30 minutes. In-Home Multi-Age has a maximum capacity of eight children. Being over the licensed capacity increases the risk to children. Confirm how the Licensee will ensure only eight children will be provided with care at any one time.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. The diaper change mat is torn and no longer in good condition, making it difficult to clean between each use. Confirm how the diaper change mat is now in good repair, and able to be cleaned between each diaper change.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Child registration records were reviewed. The name and phone number of an emergency contact has not been provided for one child. Confirm how all required information has been collected for children attending the facility.

  Observation. There were eight children present with the licensee at time of inspection which exceeded the staff to child ratio. This was resolved during inspection.

  Observation. The facilities emergency supplies were not available at time of inspection.

  Observation. A child file is missing medical practitioner name and phone number. The daily attendance arrival times were incomplete at time of inspection.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. It was observed that an adult who resides at the home has an expired criminal record clearance.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Doctor's information missing from one child's records Personal Health Numbers missing from some emergency cards

• C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

  Observation. No written record of an annual evacuation drill however the licensee stated one was completed.
