Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child registration records it was noted that two required medical practitioner phone numbers in order to be complete. Ensure all child registration records are reviewed and any required information is added, as necessary. Notify Licensing of information updates completion on or by May 1, 2025. Upon review of the Minor Incident Log it was noted that an event documented was required to be submitted to Licensing as an Incident Report. Ensure that the incident report is submitted to Licensing for review and assessment on or by May 1, 2025. Fire drill log, Emergency Preparedness log and Outdoor Inspection Log were reviewed during inspection and determined to be complete, up-to-date and used regularly.

Observation. Licensing reviewed with the Licensee child record forms and the required documentation for children. The facility records were found to be missing some required information. Review the applicable legislation and revise forms to include all required information. Submit by the follow up date requested the revised forms to Licensing for review. Once accepted the Licensee is to ensure records for any currently enrolled children and future registrations are completed with the revised forms.

Observation. Current criminal record reviews are required for all persons over the age of 12 years residing at the facility. Licensing will provide the Licensee with information on renewing an expired criminal record review via email. The follow up date reflects the timeline for the Licensee to complete the application process and notify Licensing it has been completed.

Observation. The Licensee provided detailed procedures for diapering, which identified diapering may not always occur beside a sink; therefore, handwashing is not consistent with the caregiver and the child being diapered.

Observation. Licensing observed a storage room with hazardous items to be accessible during the inspection. The Licensee was notified prior to the end of the inspection. Licensing received email confirmation the concern was adequately addressed by the Licensee and is satisfied the issue is resolved. The Licensee has changed operations at the facility regarding what rooms in the facility are reserved for family only and what rooms are used by the child care program. The Licensee has been provided a copy of the DOLSOP for Family Child Care and informed of CCLR section 15 (3) which requires the Licensee to have a bedroom/separate sleep area located away from any activity area. Licensing has requested the Licensee review the applicable legislation and submit revised floor, site, and offsite play plans to update the facility file ensuring the proposed changes are in compliance with the applicable standards and legislation.
