  Observation. Licensing Officer found the minor log for accidents, illnesses, and unexpected events did not include all the relevant information, such as all the names of children involved in the unexpected event. The Child Care Licensing Regulation requires that all minor accidents, illnesses, and unexpected events be documented. Submit by June 10, 2025, how you have addressed the requirement for documenting minor accidents, illnesses, and unexpected events.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. Licensing Officer found an aerosol air freshener in the children's washroom which was accessible to children in care. Keeping hazardous items or substances accessible to children raises health and safety risks. This was corrected during inspection.

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed behavioural guidance practices that were not consistent with the child's care plan instructions. By not adhering to an individualized care plan, you increase the risk of not ensuring the child's safety, promoting their development, and providing consistent, respectful, and effective support. Submit by June 13, 2025, how you have addressed the requirement of ensuring behavioural guidance practices are consistent with the care plan instructions.

  Observation. Children who require extra support must have a care plan developed by the facility in consultation with the parent. Reminder to ensure staff files are available upon request.

  Observation. Residents of the Hamlets are smoking in the area where the children are playing. When this does occur the facility does mitigate the risk immediately by taking the children inside or moving them to a different area. The residents are leaving a large tin of cigarette butts in the children's area as well.
