Observation. The sleeping mats are not in good repair, with multiple tears on most. One toilet seat in one of the washrooms is showing signs of wear and tear. It is important for these pieces of equipment to be in good repair to allow for effective cleaning and sanitizing. Submit a compliance plan to address this issue on or before January 29, 2026.

Observation. Two staff files did not contain validation of most recent ECE certificate through the BC ECE Registry website. One staff member did not have a valid criminal record check on file.

Observation. Of the child files reviewed, one was missing a care card number.

Observation. Some children's records did not have start dates recorded. Some children's records did not have the contact information for a medical practitioner recorded. No attendance has been kept for the Occasional Care Program. Log of daily play space inspections has not being kept at the facility.

Observation. One employee did not have immunization information on file. ECE and Assistant certificates have not been validated through the system establish by the ECE Registry.

Observation. As previously noted a fire drill was not practiced and not documented one month.

Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child records it was noted that one record did not have a care card number documented and one was missing a start date (resolved during inspection). Discussed system for reviewing child records as new registrants come in, as well as over time in the facility.

Observation. Upon review of the fire drill record it was noted that a drill was not documented as completed one month. It was observed that the fire drill record document stated fire drills were to be practiced 6 times per year. Discussed that fire drills are to be practiced and documented monthly.

Observation. Upon discussion it was noted that one care plan requires development for a medical condition.

Observation. Upon review of a sampling of employee records, one Criminal Record Check on file was issued to a different institution, and a share form must be completed.
