• CR1.1 - Has the facility been tested for radon gas?Non-critical

  Observation. The Licensee states that the facility was tested last winter (winter months 2024/2025). However, after sending the completed test kit back to the company for lab testing, it was later found that the kit was not received by the lab. A new radon test kit is currently being deployed at the facility, with testing scheduled to be completed before April 2026.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Review of required facility documentation identifies inconsistencies regarding the timeframes for immediately notifying parents when their child is injured while in the Licensee’s care. Failing to notify parents immediately about their child's injury could lead to delays in medical treatment, heightened child distress, and a lack of parental involvement in care decisions. Submit by January 28, 2026, corrective measures outlining how the Licensee will ensure the system for notifying parents and recording such notifications has been revised to ensure compliance is maintained.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. Review of the physical space found these hazards accessible to children: • The basement door, though off-limits and supposed to be locked, was unlocked. • Child safety equipment for preventing access under the kitchen sink is in place but not closed, allowing access to stored cleaners. Securing these areas is essential to prevent harm and protect children from accidents. The Site Manager addressed both hazards during the inspection, and the system for ensuring safety checks and staff monitoring was discussed. Corrected during inspection.
