  Observation. There was no record of last years' emergency evacuation plan.

  Corrective action. Please keep a record of the yearly emergency evacuation plan.

• STAFFING

  Despite this section, licensee may employ a person as a volunteer who does not provide care to children or supervise children if the licensee or the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following (c) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.

  Observation. Immunization status was not obtained for the volunteer.

  Corrective action. The Licensee advised that she will obtain a record of the their immunization status.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Upon inspection, Licensing observed serval areas in the facility had exposed gyprock.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that the community care facility and the furniture and equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair.

  Observation. Upon inspection, Licensing observed that the fire extinguisher has not been serviced annually. The Manager explained that she was unaware this was to be done annually.

  Corrective action. Please ensure fire extinguisher is serviced annually.

  Observation. Children were left unsupervised in the nap room

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Upon inspection, outlets were accessible to children. The Licensee explained that she has covers and will use them.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times.

  Observation. Upon inspection, no records were available for fire drill and emergency drills. The Licensee explained that fire drills are completed monthly, but may not have been documented.

  Corrective action. Please ensure current records are available.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (b) the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.

  Observation. Upon review of registration forms, it was found that a child with an identified allergy did not have a care plan available. The Licensee explained that the child is no longer impacted by this. Licensing had a discussion around records being current.

  Corrective action. Please ensure each child requiring extra support has a current care plan including the course of action recommended by health care professional.

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Upon inspection, licensing observed the following: -Mop and broom are stored next to the toilet in the washroom, which are accessible to children -There is a ladder stored in the outdoor play area accessible to children, which poses a safety risk
