    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Adhesive residue observed on the floor of JK1A classroom outside of the bathroom to keep the uneven panel down.

    Corrective action. Manager will ensure that the floor is fixed. In the meantime, manager will cover that area until a permanent solution can be put in place.

  • MEDICATION

    If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (b) readily accessible to employees.

    Observation. It was observed in two classrooms that medication was not readily accessible to employees.

    Corrective action. Manager will ensure that medication is readily accessible to employees.

    Observation. Six staff files were reviewed, and immunization status was not obtained for two employees.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Licensing observed that there are several items above the cabinet located in the gym. These items could potentially fall on children or staff in an event of an earthquake.

    Observation. Licensing observed that in one bathroom, the toilet seat wrap has ripped exposing the foam, which is difficult to clean. This is a repeat contravention and identified on Mar. 07, 2023 on routine inspection report #MZIN-CPPP7E.

    Corrective action. Ensure all equipment is clean and in good repair

    Observation. Licensing observed that the sleeping mats which had bedsheets were stacked together and were touching in three classrooms. This item was contravened on routine inspection report number MZIN-CBPMJH on Feb. 15, 2022.

    Corrective action. Ensure that the sleeping mats with the bedsheets are stored in a way that they are not touching each other.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Licensing observed that in the two nap areas downstairs, the sleeping mats had bedsheets and were stacked together while not in use. Due to the fact that they were all stacked, the bedsheets were touching each other.

    Corrective action. Ensure that the sleeping mats with the bedsheets are stored in a way that they are not touching each other.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed that the door of the universal restroom downstairs was wide open and liquid substances for cleaning were stored under the sink, which was accessible to children. During the inspection, a staff said that the door is usually kept close.

    Corrective action. Ensure children do not have access to any substances that may be hazardous to their health or safety.

    Observation. Licensing observed in the downstairs bathroom for children that soiled diapers were being placed and disposed in a container without a lid.

    Corrective action. Ensure soiled diapers are being placed and disposed in a covered container.
