  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing reviewed 14 children's files and one child's file was missing a record of immunization.

  Corrective action. Manager sent message to parents while licensing was on site. Parents will provided immunization record.

• Licensees must not make any structural change to a community care facility unless the licensee first (b) receives written approval from the medical health officer.

  Observation. Licensing was not informed of the newly added climbing structure and the fence added to the existing chainlink fence. The use zone around the climbing structure did not comply with the Safe Play Spaces standards of practice

  Corrective action. Manager will provide a written response how they are going to address the use zone and how the structure will be monitored.

• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During the routine inspection licensing observed the following: - a bin containing emergency supplies was present. On the bin there were notes pertinent to the expiry date of items in the bin. - 5 packages had food and water expired in September of 2024. - manager remembered that she had new supplies and removed the expired packages and replaced them with new items.

  Corrective action. Manager removed the expired packages and replaced them with new items.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. During the routine inspection licensing observed that the change mat in the infant room had a tear in it. While on site manager has put in a request for a new change mat.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that change mat is in good repair.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. One of the drawers in the JK2 classroom had stapler and scissors in it and was not locked.

  Corrective action. (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Manager moved the scissors and stapler on the top shelf.
