    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. While inspection the bathroom Licensing observed there was not a toilet paper holder, toilet paper was sitting on the counter for children's use.

    Corrective action. Install a toilet paper holder to ensure hygienic use of toilet paper.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. During the inspection of the outdoor play area it Licensing observed some broken toys that should be kept inaccessible to children.

    Corrective action. Licensee will remove these toys from the play area.

    Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (a) children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.

    Observation. Licensing observed that maximum group size of 8 was exceeded on several days in month of April.

    Corrective action. Licensee will make sure that she changes the pick up or the drop off time for the respective families to avoid exceeding the maximum group size at the premise and the ratio of 8 children at the premise is maintained.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. The bedding is stored on the cots in the nap room. The bedding and the blankets in the nap room is left on the mats, stacked on top of each other.

    Corrective action. Ensure that the bedding including blankets used for children are stored separately and not on top of the cots. A system is developed to store the bedding separately after each use.

    Observation. Licensing observed debris i.e candy wrappers, used Kleenex, and papers in the outdoor play area.

    Corrective action. Ensure that outdoor play area is clean of debris and system is developed to check the outdoor play area on a daily basis to clear of any debris.

    Observation. The ECEA certificate for a staff member was not validated and included in the staff file.

    Corrective action. (Corrected During Inspection) ECEA certificate was validated by licensee during the inspection. Include the printed copy in the staff file.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During the inspection it was observed: -The door to the garage, the door to the home were unlocked. The nap room area was accessible to children while at play. -The cabinet next to the napping children in a crib was unlatched which contained cleaning products. -A cord that supplies power to the video monitor was accessible to children.

    Corrective action. Please ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under supervision of employees.
