- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed the following: - A serrated kitchen knife was observed in an unlocked kitchen drawer that was at child height. - Small hooks that pose a choking hazard were noted in the bottom drawer of a shelving unit in the children’s play space. Upon discussion, Licensee took action to remove hazardous items and make them inaccessible for children in care. No children were in care during the time inspection.
Corrective action. Ensure that children do not have accesss to object or substance that may be hazardous to the health and safety of a child.
