Observation. Licensing observed that an ECEA was providing lunch coverage for the ECEs in both Group Child Care (30 months to School Age) programs leaving both programs without an ECE for that period of time. This was corrected at the time of inspection.
Corrective action. Ensure that the ratio of employees to children is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

Observation. Children's files for the Group Child Care (School Age) program were not on site this date. Staff corrected during inspection and brought the files back to the facility for Licensing to review.
Corrective action. Ensure records referred to in sections 56 to 58 are kept in a single place at the community care facility.

Observation. A corrective action plan that was submitted to Licensing and accepted by Licensing indicated the water fountain would be turned off and water dispensers would be installed. Staff stated the water fountain was being used and the water dispensers were no longer required because the City of Victoria retested the water. Licensing has not received the retesting results to date.
Corrective action. Ensure safe drinking water is available to children.
