  Observation. Licensing observed in the staff schedule that there is no Early Childhood Educator (ECE) scheduled on Fridays. There was an Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) and a Responsible Adult (RA). Licensing confirmed the schedule with staff and discussed a staffing exemption.

  Corrective action. Ensure the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than permitted in Schedule E. An Early Childhood Educator (ECE) is required at all times.

  3030 - CCLR 34(2)(b)

  Observation. Licensing audited a log for inspections, maintenance and repairs and noted five days had been recorded for the month of January 2024. Licensee stated they had conducted the inspections and not recorded them in a log.

  Corrective action. Ensure a log is kept of inspections, maintenance and repairs.

  Observation. Early Childhood Educator stated that a diapering change mat was being used in the food preparation and storage area.

  Corrective action. Ensure any area used for food prepaparation and storage is not used for changing diapers.

• The licensee must review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

• The licensee must review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

  Observation. Licensing observed that a care plan for a child attending care was last reviewed on July 23, 2021.

  Corrective action. Ensure a care plan is reviewed yearly with a parent.
