- A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. Licensing tested hot water at two sinks where children access hot water and the hot water temperature was 52° and 50° Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care and must be corrected immediately. The hot water tank was turned down during the inspection. Licensing retested the hot water and the hot water temperature was 45° Celsisus.
Corrective action. Ensure any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more thsan 49 degrees Celsius.

Observation. Licensing observed the lead in water corrective action plan had not been followed. Licensing observed that six days in September the water had not been recorded that the water had been flushed for two minutes at the beginning of the day. Staff stated that she did not know if the water had been flushed for two minutes on the days not recorded.
Corrective action. Ensure the community care facility operates in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of the children in care.
