  Observation. Licensing observed a care plan had not been developed in consultation with parent for a health condition.

  Corrective action. Ensure a care plan is developed in consultation with a parent.

  Observation. Licensing audited eight staff files. One staff file did not have a record that their character references had been checked.

  Corrective action. Ensure character references are obtained for staff files.

  Observation. Licensing audited nine children files. One child's file was missing a date of enrolment. This was corrected during the inspection.

  Corrective action. Ensure the date of enrolment is obtained.

• A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child

  Observation. Licensing observed the slide in the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) had cracks where it was secured to the wooden landing.

  Corrective action. Ensure children to not have access to and object that may be hazardous to their health and safety.

  3000 - CCLR 17
• Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Licensing observed the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) had 11 children with three staff: ECE, ECE, ECEA. The Infant toddler Educator did not arrive until 9:00 a.m.

  Corrective action. Ensure the ratio of employees to children is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

• A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: a criminal record check for the person

  Observation. Licensing audited eight staff files. One staff file did not have a criminal record check.

  Corrective action. Ensure a CRC is obtained for staff files.
