    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. One side of the wall in the gross motor room, is peeling and exposing particle board. This is no longer in good repair. LO is informed that a work order has been submitted for the repair.

    All indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are suitable for the age and development of the children, safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)]

    Observation. Licensing observed the corner of the sandbox to be wrapped in packing tape. Staff inform that it is broken, and a work order had been submitted. It is currently taped as a temporary fix.

    Observation. Licensing observed wood chips to be lacking in the outdoor area, around the climber and common fall zones. Manager informs that a request has been submitted, however, not sure when they will be coming in. Manager will be following up on the request.

    Observation. Licensing observed a service tag on the fire extinguisher stating service is due "ASAP". There are sufficient emergency preparedness supplies stored in the outdoor shed, with expiry date for items in 2027.

    Observation. *The black couch in the main area was observed to be peeling in areas. This item has become porous and is no longer to keep clean. *The paint on the window ledges in the small room was observed to be chipping making this area difficult to clean. Additionally, paint chips may come off creating a choking hazard.
