    Observation. Physical inspections of the away play space were explained to be occurring but have not been documented. Ensure outdoor play space inspections are conducted regularly and documented as part of your facilities records.

    The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

    Observation. Licensing observed missing registration and attendance information for children attending the program. Ensure every child attending the program has the following information on file: A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a)name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status; (b)date of enrolment in the community care facility; (c)daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure; (d)name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact; (e)any illness, allergy or medical disability disclosed to the licensee by the child or the child's parent or medical practitioner; (f)any medication administered to the child, including the amount and the time at which the medication was administered; (g)any notification of a parent, emergency contact or medical health officer made under section 55 [notification of illness or injury]; (h)any special instruction respecting the child's diet, medication, participation in a program of activities, or other matter relevant to the child's care, (i)given by the child's parent to the licensee in writing, and (ii)agreed to by the licensee; (i)a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency; (j)a record of any person who is not permitted access to the child; (k)the date on which the child stops attending the community care facility.

    Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

    Observation. The Licensee stated that fire drills have occurred but have not been documented. Ensure fire drills are done monthly and emergency drills are done annually. Ensure drills and dates they occurred are documented as a part of your facilities records.
