    Observation. Originally found out of compliance on July 11, 2024. Licensing observed the following: - the cleaning and sanitizing supplies were not prepared for use, for the kitchen/play area/ main washroom or the washroom where the licensee changes the children's diapers. Licensing is concerned as this presents the risk of the spread of germs and cross contamination.

    Observation. Originally found out of compliance on July 11, 2024 Licensing observed that there is a diverse age range of children who are currently enrolled in the program. Licensing observed a few new toy options for the children to access. The licensee's daughter stated that they have ordered more toys for the facility and they were waiting to receive them.

Licensing observed the following: - there were no cleaning and sanitizing supplies in the bathroom where the licensee changes diapers, which presents the risk of the spread of germs and illnesses. - Tooth brushes are stored without individual covers in the washroom. Licensing is concerned that there may be cross contamination due to no covers and the easy access for children to use, possibly not using their own.

Licensing is concerned there is a risk of injury if not addressed.

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: - a film on the kitchen counter top from a liquid that had dried from the previous day, when licensing asked about steps for cleaning and sanitizing the Licensee was reminded of the bleach and water solution, which she retrieved from a washroom. - There are two washrooms, one appears to be for the children and the other for the adults, the adult washroom is concerning to licensing as there is nothing preventing children from accessing the space and there are items stored in the space that are considered harmful if a child was to have access to them. - a broken shelf in one of the activities rooms, the shelf had been removed, but the pins to support the shelf were still in the piece of furniture. By leaving the pins in the shelving it creates a risk of a child injuring themselves during play. - a love seat couch which appeared dirty, and soiled and no longer in good repair. The licensee explained that it is cleaned monthly. Licensing is concerned that there may be cross contamination, which is causing the spread of germs. - Noted: Dishes stacked in the sink, licensee stated that they are taken upstairs to be washed in the dishwasher.

May 18, 2023 - There is a fire extinguisher available, but it has not been serviced. All equipment noted in the system must be maintained so staff can mitigate and respond to any emergency.

    Observation. There are two children's files that are missing emergency contact information, and two children who have mild allergies that are not noted anywhere as allergies. The attendance is also not accurate with not all children signed in or out with times. But, when children are absent, it is kept in a computer file. LO recommended including that information on the daily attendance sheet for ease.

There was also a staff on site, who was unaware of the policies. Therefore it does not appear that employees are provided with a written statement on behavioural guidance.

It is up to individual facilities how they share information.
