  Observation. Licensing observed a staff member raising their voice to gain the children’s attention during transition time. A discussion was held with the Manager regarding appropriate behavior guidance strategies.

  Observation. Licensing observed a staff engaged in their personal cellular device instead of supervising children during outdoor play. A conversation was held with the manager in regards to continuous supervision.

  Observation. Licensing observed one child's medication has expired on July 2023.

  Observation. One child registered at the facility does not have a care plan for medication required.

  Observation. Staff were unable to provide a minor incident logbook at the time of inspection. A conversation occurred that the logbook to be frequently practiced documents any minor incidents of the following details: Date and time, child's name, type of injury, location, equipment involved if any, first aid applied, who was informed or challenging behavior ( Resource provided)

  Observation. The Manager informed Licensing that the outdoor inspections are taking place, however they are not being documented.

  A record for each child containing the daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(c)]

  Observation. Licensing observed that children are signed in when parents drop them off in the morning, but not signed out when they go to school. In addition, these same children are not signed back in when they arrive after school.
