A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].
Observation. Licensing observed: quilts and blankets stacked in the playpen of a child that is attending the facility. Licensing reviewed the manufacture's recommendations for the playpen with the Licensee. Licensing also observed crumbs and dirt at the bottom of the base of the play pen, which presents a possible risk to the child if ingested. The Licensee was reminded and encouraged to use the 2 step method of cleaning and sanitizing policy according to VCH requirements. Licensing also observed the diaper changing mat was made from cloth, which is porous, making the mat difficult to clean and sanitize in between diaper changes with different children.

- PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Furniture, Equipment and FixturesNon-critical

Observation. In the sleeping area space, LO observed that the sleep mats were stacked, allowing the bedding to touch from one mat to the next. In addition, LO observed a group of children jumping and playing on the stacked sleeping mats. Discussion took place with licensee with regards to the stacked mats with the bedding touching and children playing on them while not in use poses a risk of cross contamination.

Reviews
Really amazing place. We had two kids (1 boy, 1 girl) there over several years. Both made great social and linguistic progress, and both were very happy and quick to adjust to the environment. The owners Sara and Nahid have incredible energy, charisma, and warmth. No safety concerns at all, and very smooth communication throughout. Highly recommend.
Sara and Nahid are fantastic. Our little one loved their time at Nana Daycare. Very lovely family that truly cares about the kids.
Our son attended the Nana Daycare for almost 2 years from 10 months old to nearly 3 and our experience there was exemplary. Our little guy really enjoyed his days and he always surprised us with what he had learned. Sara and Nahid are wonderful caregivers and we highly recommend them!
Our son has attended Nana Daycare since he was 18 months old and he has loved every minute of it. He has met wonderful friends and the care he has received is truly unmatched. The love, support, learning and play is something he and we will never forget. I could not recommend this daycare enough. We will miss them all very much.
