    The licensee provides a Child-minding program and keeps a current record for each child showing the information required in Section 57(2.1). [CCLR Sec. 57(1)]

    Observation. While the program has demonstrated compliance in keeping the required documentation in the past, the Manager stated they had recently decided to simplify the information collected. This has placed the program in noncompliance as key information required under the legislation is missing. The Manager found the past binders and templates for children's records which we reviewed together. The Manager committed to ensuring all children enrolled have the required information in place by January 31, 2023.

    Observation. Reviewed Child Care Staff List (attached) and discussed staff immunization records. This information is not on file. Discussed options for achieving compliance with Manager and Director.

    Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

    Observation. Records re emergency drills was reviewed with Manager and Director. Monthly fire drills has lapsed. Manager is aware of the need for monthly fire drills and the yearly emergency plan. Discussed the benefit of regular practice of earthquake and lockdown drills as well as power outage protocols.
