Observation. Two carpets located on the second floor that the corners of these carpets are curling up, which is creating a tripping hazard.

Observation. Licensing observed the following: * a slow drain at the left hand sink in the children's downstairs bathroom * carpets are showing wear (Manager informed that new ones have been ordered.) * home-living furniture is showing wear (Manager informed that new ones have been ordered.) * roller blinds located in a room where children rest / sleep do not roll-up (Manager informed that they will be repaired.) * the restrictor is broken on the upstairs bathroom window (Manager informed that it will be repaired.) Licensing recommends that a janitor's closet is reorganized so as to address the number of items stored and have access to the janitor's tub.

Licensing observed the following: * door unlocked to a storage area located adjacent to the children's bathroom - items stored in the area = sharps container, fluorescent tubes, cleaning chemicals (addressed during the inspection) * dishwashing detergent and plastic bags stored under the kitchen sink in the cupboard which was unlocked (addressed during the inspection) * black garbage bag located under the upstairs bathroom sink (addressed during the inspection) * electrical cords stored in an accessible cupboard in a room where children rest / sleep * blind cord not anchored and is accessible by way of a children's arm chair positioned underneath

Observation. Licensing observed a piece of wood in place to stabilize the fencing / gate system located in the back yard. The placement of the wood has created a potential entrapment hazard in that it measures approximately 5.5 inches.

Observation. Licensing observed that the fire drills are being practiced and recorded once per month, however the yearly emergency drill has not been practiced since October 2021.
