  Observation. Some children were missing various registration details, including a photo, emergency contact, personal health number, and out-of-town contact. Licensing observed that staff are still in the process of obtaining this information and have a system in place to track what is outstanding.

  Observation. LO observed the following while reviewing staff documentation: • 1 staff had an expired criminal record check on file • 1 staff was missing immunization status • 2 staff did not have references on file

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Heated WaterNon-critical

  Heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius. [CCLR Sec. 47]

  Observation. LO measured water temperature in the washroom sink at 56.5° C. A discussion with the manager took place regarding adjusting the water temperature. Manager stated that children do not use the washroom alone and a staff is always at the sink to monitor the hot water tap.

  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. LO observed 2 fire extinguishers on site that are overdue for servicing.

  Observation. LO did not observe care plans on file for 2 children with anaphylaxis allergies.
