    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. Kitchen supplies for serving and making snack are lacking. There are not enough bowls, tongs, etc for the number of children enrolled. Play equipment is lacking, there is not enough in all centres in the facility. Craft equipment is lacking in all areas. Not enough paper, scissors, glue, etc

    Observation. The facility uses an electronic EPact system for children's records. The staff have a paper copy of Emergency forms. Several children do not have a photo on the emergency card/or the photo is very outdated. 2 custody forms are not on file.

    Observation. One child has food sensitivities noted on Emergency forms. The forms indicate Benadryl is used of exposed. The Manager reports that there is no Benadryl at the facility for the child.

    The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

    Observation. Two children attending the facility have an medical incidents on the Green playground in the last 10 days. Today's inspection revealed a broken cable on a climbing structure with sharp edges. Today's inspection revealed ground surfacing under the climbing frame and "donut" spinning structure are below levels required in Safe Play Spaces.

    Maintenance of Equipment: Thorough inspections of the outdoor play space are conducted regularly. [Director of Licensing Standard of Practice - Safe Play Space] (13)

    Observation. Staff have been conducting daily outdoor safety checklists that confirm the ground/protective surfacing is less that 6 inches deep, and that there is a broken cable on the climbing frame.
