  Observation. Licensing Officer observed a child's file in which the parent(s) have listed themselves as the emergency contact.

  All persons over the age of 12 that are ordinarily present on the premises while children are present are of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for each person. [CCLR Sec 20]

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed that the criminal record checks on file for the licensee, the licensee’s spouse, and the licensee’s child have expired.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. LO observed the following in the nap room: • Several nap mats and crib mattresses have cracked or ripped vinyl, exposing the foam beneath • One crib is wobbly, and posts are held together with plastic straps (zap straps) These items are no longer easy to clean, in good repair or free from hazards, and must be repaired or replaced.

  Heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius. [CCLR Sec.47]

  Observation. LO observed that heated water in the washroom exceeded 49° C.

  Play materials and/or equipment are not safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)(b)]

  Observation. LO observed indoor/outdoor carpeting covering a portion of the outdoor play area. The carpeting appeared to be moldy and in need of removal or replacement.

  Observation. LO observed indoor/outdoor carpeting covering the entire outdoor play area. The carpeting appeared to be moldy and in need of removal or replacement.

  Observation. LO did not observe the following: Behavioural Guidance policy, Active Play policy, Screen Use policy. Licensee will provide these to LO via email.

  Observation. LO reviewed children's records and observed that immunization status was not on file for 2 children.
