  There is a diaper changing area that is adjacent to a wash basin, that is located away from the food preparation area, and that has a covered container for soiled clothing. [CCLR Sec. 14(4)]

  Observation. There is a diaper changing mat that is torn and no longer able to be adequately cleaned and sanitized.

  Observation. In the washroom near the bottom of the post / divider, there is a section that is very rusted and has sharp edges.

  Observation. LO observed 3 floor mats in the main activity area that are lifting up and curling at the edges. The rugs are no longer in good repair and could pose a tripping hazard.

  Observation. LO observed that a fire extinguisher in the classroom was overdue for servicing.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. LO observed that the following areas were soiled and in need of a deep cleaning in both of the children's washrooms: • sinks and faucets • mirrors • doorways • washroom stall doors

  Observation. LO observed ripped tarps hanging in the outdoor playground. The entire area is in need of attention and repair/replacement of equipment as budget allows. LO will provide Director of Licensing Standard of Practice - Safe Play Space.

  Observation. LO did not observe Active Play or Screen Use policies. LO will provide Director of Licensing Standard of Practice - Active Play.

  Observation. Found out of compliance on November 23, 2021. During today's visit LO observed that the child's care plan has been developed and posted in the program. A written response outlining how the program will ensure staff will be informed about children's extra support needs is required. During today's visit LO reviewed children's records and observed that 3 children do not have immunization status on file. LO will provide updated children's immunization information for childcare form.
