    Observation. Staff inform that a discussion is still ongoing with the church, awaiting approval from the board. In the meantime, diligent supervision around the areas are being maintained, and children are refraining from use. Staff also inform that the park is being visited regularly as a larger outdoor area, and when numbers are lower, they can also utilize the front play yard.

Licensing observed the following: * A hole in the boat structure placed in the back outdoor playground no larger than 9 inches * A section of a wooden plank on the gate in the back outdoor playground producing a gap of no larger than 9 inches Note that any openings that measure in between 4 and 9 inches are considered to be entrapment hazards.

    Observation. Licensing observed a logbook to be available with the last entry being in 2021. A conversation was had with the Manager in regards to the regular use of this logbook, to document any minor or unexpected occurrences and events.

    Observation. *The art sink in the classroom was observed to be unusable due to build up of supplies and materials on the counter and in the sink itself. This facility has been grandfathered in and does not have enough hand sinks for the licensed capacity, therefore all sinks not used for food prep must be available for handwashing.

    A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

    Observation. *The Educator's personal belongings were observed to be accessible in the children's cubby area. As personal belongings may contain hazardous items such as medications, this poses a potential risk to children. This item originally found out of compliance on a prior inspection. *A tall art shelf was observed to be freestanding. The manager stated that it is attached to the shelf beside it, however it is a tipping hazard. This item originally found out of compliance on a prior inspection. *The spray bottles used for cleaning were unlabelled.

    The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

    Observation. *The wooden deck beneath the easel is rotten and soft creating the possibility of foot entrapment.
