Observation. Licensing observed the changing mat in the Cypress Classroom washroom appeared soiled and damaged and its no longer in good repair to properly sanitize.

Observation. Licensing observed the following: - The presence of bird droppings around the playground fence and on play structures that is accessible to children. Although staff conduct daily inspections and clean the play equipment regularly, some areas remain difficult to sanitize thoroughly. To address this concern, the Manager recently purchased a higher‑pressure water sprayer to improve the removal of bird feces. Animal feces can carry transmissible diseases, it is essential that all affected areas are properly cleaned and sanitized before children use the playground. A discussion was held with the Manager regarding potential long‑term solutions, including installing deterrent spikes along the top of the fence to prevent birds from landing or nesting there. - Sandbox level to be low.

Observation. On June 11, 2025, Licensing observed that the outdoor space was showing wear and tear, particularly in the wooden features and wooden structures that pose a safety hazard to the children: - Sharp splinters on the tree stumps - Sharp splinters around some tree logs This infraction remains outstanding. As per the Manager updates, the quote for the removal and replacement of all outdoor logs has been approved. Upper management is currently coordinating to arrange a suitable time for this work to be carried out, with the aim of scheduling it on the professional development day during the last week of August. Licensing has advised that should any unexpected circumstances or delays arise that could affect the children's school hours or outdoor play schedule, a health and safety plan will be required in advance to ensure appropriate safety measures are in place.

Observation. A child was observed playing with their peer who was seated beside them. An Educator picked up the child by their armpits and moved the child. This physical redirection is not permitted.

Observation. During today's visit, LO observed that the chipped and peeling paint on the facility walls and window ledges has been repaired. Also the metal door threshold plate has been cleaned. In addition, LO observed that two area rugs in the main activity space appear to be stained and soiled. LO observed staff cleaning the area rugs with the use of a professional carpet cleaning machine during the visit. This issue of non-compliance remains outstanding.

Observation. LO observed care plans posted for three children that require administration of medication by staff in the event of an emergency. However, a request to administer medication form has not been completed for the three children. Discussion took place with manager with regards to having a request to administer medication form completed for each child for prescription medications as this will also allow the staff a means to record the administration of the medication.

Observation. In the main activity rooms and nap room spaces, LO observed that the paint on the facility walls and window ledges is chipped, peeling and in some areas the drywall is exposed. The facility walls and window ledges appear to be soiled and stained specifically around the exterior playground door frames. LO observed that the metal door threshold foot plate appears to be in poor repair and no longer easy to clean. In addition, LO observed that two area rugs in the main activity space appear to be stained and no longer easy to clean. Manager advised that there is a plan in place to have the facility walls and window ledges repaired and the area rugs shampooed during the holiday break.

Observation. *Care plans are posted however several were observed to be missing relevant information regarding triggers and symptoms for anaphylactic response to allergy. This makes it difficult for Educators to gauge when to administer medication such as epi-pen.
