A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Observation. Water was measured with a digital thermometer and reads 51 degrees Celcius. Manager said children don't use the hot tap, but it is easily accessible.

Corrective action. Discussed installing a regulator to mitigate the risk. Please provide a compliance plan to Licensing by the date below

A licensee must ensure that the policies and procedures referred to in subsection (1) are implemented by employees.

Observation. Observed one child using a screen for over 30 minutes during inspection. Policy is in place to limit screen time for children that was not being followed

Corrective action. Please ensure children only access screens as per requirement of legislation

In respect of a record referred to in this Division, a licensee must (a) keep in a single place at the community care facility the records referred to in sections 56 to 58.

Observation. Observed a child occasionally in care did not have a registration file. Further discussed.

Corrective action. Please ensure all children that attend, even on occasion, have registration information as required in legislation

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)
